She Chocolat is a great little restaurant in Governors Bay, specialising in homemade chocolates. We went there for lunch and the view of Lyttleton Harbour was stunning. For the main course, I had the Confit of Turkey. I thought the turkey was a tad dry. Otherwise, the dish was great. The taste was exquisite. Since She Chocolat specialises in chocolate, it would only be appropriate to at least try one of their chocolate drinks. I had the Mayan Belgian hot chocolate – a traditional South American recipe of chilli and spices. Suffice to say, I will come back just for the chocolates; and the view too. If you’re going for the first time, try to get a table out on the deck; especially if it’s a fine sunny afternoon like today. Bring a camera too. You won’t be the only one with a camera there. There’s also a jetty at the end of the road beside the restaurant. There are some nice photos waiting for you there.
